[PI Introduction]

Shuping Xiong holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He is currently a tenured Full Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at KAIST, leading the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory. He also serves as the Associate Vice President for International Engagement at KAIST. Previously, he was a Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and UNIST.

His main research areas include (1) Technology and healthy aging, particularly ICT/AI technologies for fall and injury prevention; (2) HCI and human factors in emerging technologies (VR/AR, Human-Exoskeleton/Robot Interaction); (3) Digital human modeling and ergonomic design; and (4) Human biomechanics, behavior and performance modeling.

He has led over 30 research projects, including those funded by the NSFC, NRF, IITP, Samsung Electronics, and Samsung Display. He has published over 120 academic papers (70+ SCI journal papers) and authored 12 book chapters. He and his research team have received numerous awards, including the KAIST Global Research Cooperation Award (2023), IJIE Most Cited Articles (2023 & 2011), Applied Ergonomics Best Paper Award (2015), Best Conference Paper (AHFE2021, ISOES2019, CES2011), IEA KU Smith Student Award Finalist (2009), and KAIST ISysE Best Academic Award (2021).

He serves as an editor or editorial board member for six international SCI journals and a board member for international conferences AHFE, HCII etc. He has been invited multiple times to deliver keynote speeches and research talks at professional academic conferences and internationally renowned universities, including Tsinghua University (China), Seoul National University/KAIST (South Korea), the University of Tokyo (Japan), and the University of Washington (USA).

熊树平，香港科技大学（HKUST）工业工程系博士。现任韩国科学技术院（KAIST）工业与系统工程系长聘正教授，博士生导师，人因工程实验室主任,  KAIST 国际合作交流事务协理副校长。兼任中国国家自然科学基金(NSFC)评审专家，韩国科学技术研究基金(KIST)评审专家，美国职业人机工程和安全学会执行委员会委员，韩国人机工效学会理事。曾任上海交通大学（SJTU）工业工程系副教授（破格晋升），上海市浦江人才。

主要研究方向为（1）科技应对老龄化与智能工业安全，特别是人体跌倒风险及伤害预防智能技术；（2）数字人体建模及适体产品人因设计；（3）人机交互（虚拟现实，外骨骼，机器人，用户体验等）；（4）人体生物力学，行为分析与建模。

主持30余项科研项目，包括中国国家自然科学基金（NSFC）项目，韩国国家研究基金（NRF）项目，韩国科学、信息技术与未来规划部项目，三星电子，三星显示委托项目等。已发表学术论文120余篇，其中SCI期刊论文70余篇， 编著及章节12部。研究成果荣获多项奖项: KAIST Global Research Cooperation Award, 2023; IJIE Most Cited Articles, 2023 & 2011; Applied Ergonomics Best Paper Award, 2015; Best Conference Paper (AHFE2021, ISOES2019, CES2011); IEA KU Smith Student Award Finalist, 2009; KAIST ISysE Best Academic Award, 2021 等。
