This course introduces state-of-the-art techniques and methods in human engineering. Topics include: design and analysis of human experiments, sensing technology and instrumentation for human data acquisition, techniques for assessing human physical and mental workloads, and digital human modeling and applications. Interesting laboratory work and term project are also included.
This course will also serve as a foundation to students (including senior undergraduate students) who are interested in doing research in the area of human factors and ergonomics.
